Detroit native David Shelby was recently enlisted to help Detroit’s
99.5 WYCD, winner of the 2012 National Association of Broadcasters’
Marconi Award for Country
Station of the Year, record a song to help cheer the American League
Champion Detroit Tigers on to victory in the World Series against the
San Francisco Giants.
“Tiger Town” is based on the music of Jason Aldean’s “Crazy Town” and
features original lyrics, as well as radio highlights from 97.1 The
Ticket’s Dan Dickerson and
Jim Price.
“I was thrilled to be asked by Jason 300 and Tim Roberts to record
this song for WYCD. I’m a Detroit fan through and through, so what
better way to show my support
than helping to create a song to further get the Detroit fans to rally
behind the Tigers and cheer them on to the World Series Championship.”
Shelby noted.
Tiger Town can be heard online at http://wycd.cbslocal.com/2012/10/23/this-is-tiger-town/
