David Signs with Star-Farm Nashville

Setting the stage for his sophomore CD release anticipated in early November, Highway South Records (Detroit, MI) national recording artist David Shelby is pleased to announce the addition of Star Farm Nashville to his team of Music Row industry professionals to reinforce his foothold as a major indie. Star Farm will oversee the radio promotion campaign for Shelby’s forthcoming single, the title track, from his new EP entitled OH YEAH.**

“It’s important to align with a team of professionals who not only have a strong passion for what they do, paralleled with a solid work ethic, but who believe in your music,” stated Shelby. “The Star Farm team has a proven track record and is confident in my work. I have great hope in what we can accomplish together.”

The relationship is a new endeavor for both parties. Co-owners Michael Powers and Matt Corbin established Star Farm Nashville and opened the doors just a few months ago.  Powers and Corbin’s tenure at Bigger Picture Group signatured their career success (overseeing single releases campaigns for Zac Brown Band, Gloriana, Craig Campbell and more).

A nod to his Detroit roots, Shelby’s new single (“Oh Yeah”/written by Jeffrey East and John Ramey) is loaded with groove and drenched in “Twittyesque” undertones.  The highly anticipated EP, OH YEAH, was co-produced by Russ Zavitson and Music Brothers Production [Teddy Gentry (of the hit country music group Alabama) and Charles English] and is set for an November 4, 2014 release date.  The single is scheduled to hit radio in early 2015.
